# EU Consumer Guarantee

## One-time setup

1. In Centra, go to **System → Configuration** and create a custom product attribute group named `ge_product_data`. If that group already exists for other Global-e product fields, add the element in step 2 to it — Centra does not allow two attribute groups with the same name, so you cannot create a second group.
2. Add an element with key `garan_image_url`, type input, description **Global-E GARAN Label Image URL**.
3. The Global-e adapter reads these names as-is. There is no mapping dropdown in the adapter.

## Per product

On each qualifying product, set **Global-E GARAN Label Image URL** to the full HTTPS URL of that product's GARAN PNG. Leave it empty for products with no guarantee.

Set this at product level. All size and colour variants of the same product carry the same URL.

## When the value syncs

The value is read when the shopper checks out, on both Centra's DTC API and the Checkout API. Updating the product attribute alone does not send the label — a checkout must run.

## Delivery paths

SendCart only: `SendCartData.Products[].GaranImageURL`. The adapter reads the same attribute on both Centra's DTC API and Checkout API at checkout — you do not set a second field.

## Platform notes

  The group name and element key are fixed. A differently named attribute will not be read; the adapter will send `GaranImageURL` as `null` and will not error.

The attribute is product-level (`group: product`). All size and colour variants of the same product carry the same URL. Per-SKU or per-variant values are not supported in the current implementation.

## FAQ

    No. The same `ge_product_data` / `garan_image_url` attribute is read on both checkout paths.

    No. Set the value on the product — all size and colour variants inherit the same URL. Per-variant values are not supported in the current implementation.
